WSJ Article: Introvert Holiday tactics

I am certainly an introvert. I loved this article because it pointed out common ways that introverts tend to avoid others during the holiday party season.

One of interest is hosting the party! It's true. You can always avoid people by doing chores for the party. Cleaning up, BBQ-ing, putting food out, putting food away, etc.

My favorite tactic is playing with the pets. Whatever the pet is, I'm amazed with it. It's even easier if we host since I can use my attention on Nina.

It is also pointed out that introverts have a ton of friends. It's not that we don't enjoy having friends, we just prefer to have a small group of them vs 100 of them. And if we do want to do 100 person party, we want to control when we can leave. If I feel I'm stuck in a situation even if it's my friends, I get angry.

Weird...I know. Especially hard when my husband is an extrovert and just wants to hang out all day long.
